Dumpy levels are industry-standard professional measuring tools. They feature a telescope containing optics, and an eyepiece with a crosshair, allowing you to look through and measure the height of landmasses and other structures accurately. Automatic levels are used on most construction sites to transfer, measure, and set horizontal levels and general surveying.
Dumpy levels come with telescopic tripods that you can erect near to the point you want to measure. You set the tripod as level as possible by sight or using the bubble level if it comes with one. You can then attach the optical instrument to the top of the tripod and fix it using the screw supplied. Dumpy levels feature integrated bubble levels so that you can ensure they are straight using the adjustable top of the tripod. There are also levelling screws that you can alter if needed.
Automatic builders levels are used together with a levelling staff you place on a benchmark spot - an area you already know the level of - to make an accurate reading of another height. Most levelling staffs feature E markings with 10mm increments, allowing you to estimate the closest single millimetre with a good degree of accuracy. We offer a range of models with various magnification levels and accuracy options.
From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
