Groundwork, landscaping, excavation, construction, and other work that requires digging and transport of material makes powerful equipment essential. Heavy-duty machinery like diggers ensures that projects are completed far more efficiently than if you had to complete any of the work manually.
Whatever the work zone requires, you'll be able to hire a digger that can handle the terrain, work load, or even fit within a smaller space. You don't need a driver's licence to operate a digger on any private land, worksite, or access roads. So if you're excavating ground on your domestic property, you can do it without any documentation. But, if you need to drive a digger of any size on any public roads, you do need a valid licence. You'll need the proper qualifcations for working on roadsides, or public spaces.
From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.
If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.
YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.
If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
An "away from depot" charge will be calculated at checkout. We recommend you have your own Hired-In Plant Insurance (HIPI). If you need this, we can introduce you to an insurance provider, talk to us.
