Lawn Scarifier Hire

Petrol & electric dethatchers

Lawn scarifiers remove dead thatch, moss, weeds, and other debris, like leaves and grass cuttings from lawns, without removing healthy grass or disturbing the earth. They create more space, allow healthy grass more exposure to daylight and water, and ensure it has less competition for the nutrients from the soil. Scarifiers can also cut grass shoots to encourage new growth, gently aerate the surface of the earth, and leave the area looking tidy.

Lawn dethatchers are suitable for gardeners, groundskeepers, landscapers & proud homeowners. You can use them to scarify lawns, parks, playing fields, and other grassy areas. These machines are most effective in the Spring and Autumn when the weather conditions are ideal - not too warm, not too dry, and the ground is not too soft or too hard. If you scarify lawns after heavy rain or during a drought, the lawn will not recover and develop properly. Our range includes -

Petrol Lawn Scarifiers

Petrol lawn scarifiers are ideal for large areas as they do not need a power source. They have a 4.5hp, 3600rpm engine, 3.6-litre fuel tank, and a centrifugal clutch for a permanently tensioned belt that drives the independently sprung, hardened blades.

The rotating blades have adjustable height settings, precise between 0mm to 20mm above the ground. They can prune short and long grass and pull out unwanted organise material efficiently. These machines have a 42cm (17") working width, so they can cover large areas quickly. They can also be used with a collection bag for convenient waste disposal.

Electric Lawn Scarifiers

Electric lawn scarifiers are perfect for domestic lawns and gardens. They are 240v machines, so they are powered by a standard mains socket, although you will need to use an RCD power breaker. These lawn rakes have a 1800w engine, 16 fixed bladed scarifier shaft, and a precision graft ergonomic lever.

The scarifier shaft can be adjusted to work depth between 0mm and 10mm above the ground. These machines have a 380mm working width and a 55-litre collection bag. They are also extremely lightweight and easy to use.

This equipment is available for trade and DIY customers. The National Tool Hire Shops rates are extremely competitive, and we offer great value delivery nationwide. Take a look at our lawn scarifier hire range and book online to see what is available near you, or contact us for a quote.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.

If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.

YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.

If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.
