Boom Lifts & Spider Lifts

Cherry pickers are mechanical access platforms. You use them for completing all kinds of jobs at height, and they reduce the risk of a fall, and they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Cherry pickers allow operators to reach extreme heights and awkward, confined spaces. They are ideal for construction, inspection, installation, decoration, maintenance, repair, and more. Pickers and booms can provide better outreach than scissor lifts, and they can reach higher levels.

We supply machines in a range of sizes, with working heights of over 50-metres. We supply electric, diesel, and bi-energy or hybrid machines. Electric motors are for indoor use as they do not produce emissions and diesel engines are for outdoor use. Hybrid and bi-energy lifts are versatile enough to use anywhere, and are suitable for both enclosed spaces and external applications.

Telescopic Booms

Telescopic boom lifts provide excellent height and horizontal outreach. You can use them for working at high levels indoors and outdoors. These aerial work platforms offer temporary access to hard to reach areas, usually when it is not accessible from below. They are ideal for reaching suspended bridges, steelworks, building exteriors, and other structures. If your work point is over rough terrain, water, or obstacles, they are ideal.

Articulated Booms

Articulated boom lifts provide extended height and outreach. You can use them for working at high levels both indoors and outdoors. These AWPs are also referred to as knuckle booms. They are called this because of how the sections of the boom bend and fold at the joint. The joints allow the work platform to move in different directions. Articulated boom lifts are ideal for accessing areas around and above obstacles and up into tight spaces.

Can Anyone Hire a Cherry Picker?

You do not need a PAL card or IPAF training to legally operate a cherry picker under 3.5 tons. But, you must be at least 18 and hold a full, valid driver's licence. The health and safety legislation for height regulations 2005 also states that all operatives using MEWP equipment must be competent and trained via a recognised scheme.
