1. Start the engine and squeeze the two-step safety lever to engage the cutting blades. 

2. Then lower the blades into the turf using the lever at the rear of the machine. 

3. Engage the rear-wheel-drive using the gear lever, and away you go. 

As you walk along with the machine, the blades cut through the top layer of turf. You will cut 30cm wide strips that you can roll up and remove from the ground without damaging the turf. You can carry out work, like installing pipes and cables, and then you can roll the same turf back over the ground to bed back in. So, this turf cutting machine provides a cheap and easy way to clear turf. It saves money as you will not need to buy fresh turf at the end of the job.
