How To Use A Tile Cutter

To cut a tile with a manual tile cutter, first, you should measure the tile and draw a line through it in pencil, as a guide for where you want to cut it. Then place the tile on to the cutting board, push it right to the front of the tile cutter, and line up your pencil mark with the cutting line on the tile cutter. Use the lever to lower the wheel blade on to the tile. Press down firmly to apply pressure on to the tile and push the handle along to score the tile with the blade. Then, at the end of the cutting run, the blade will move into a cradle so that you can lower the lever down to apply the breaker bar to the score on the tile once you do this. The tile will snap neatly in two along the line that you have cut. Please note, you should only score the tile once before snapping it with the breaker bar, in order to ensure a clean, high quality cut.
