  • Acrow Prop Hire

    Adjustable steel supports

Our steel acrow props are telescopic for adjustable height. They are temporary supports for ceilings, walls, floors, beams, and formwork during construction and renovation work. These heavy-duty props are made of tubular steel, offering the strength to support heavy loads. You can adjust them between their fully closed and open heights, with 1.04m to 4.88m sizes available. You can easily close these telescopic props down to remove and reposition them quickly when needed.

Before setting up the props, carry out a full risk assessment and consult a qualified structural engineer to advise you on the best action plan. If you do not fully understand how to assemble the props or position them, do not use them. Also, ensure you have all of the appropriate safety equipment, including a hard hat, gloves and steel toe-capped boots. Do not remove the props until you are 100% sure that the ceiling no longer needs their support. You must also ensure that the load you need to support falls within the props' safe working load limit that you have chosen.

Select the acrow prop size you require using the drop-down menu. You can book acrow prop hire online, then collect from your local store at the start of the hire, or we can deliver to your site. We also have strongboy prop head brackets available for supporting walls when fitting lintels, RSJs or beams, and U-head supports for supporting timber and steel beams. You can add these to your order during checkout. We also have a range of trench struts available.

From 1st April 2022, our suppliers will only fuel machines with white diesel. This is due to new government guidelines.

If you, as the hirer, refuel any equipment while it is in your possession, it must be with WHITE DIESEL.

YOU MUST NOT USE RED DIESEL IN HIRED MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT.

If you return a machine refuelled with rebated diesel, suppliers will have to remove and dispose of the fuel. They must also flush the tank and supply lines before they can refuel them. The process is chargeable, with no exceptions.

An insurance charge will be calculated at checkout. If you have proof of your own Hired-In Plant Insurance (HIPI) and wish to opt-out of the insurance charge, you can do so by booking via Live Chat.
