UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training
Safe working environments are a fundamental right and essential for all workers. Asbestos awareness training improves an individual's understanding of the risks posed by asbestos. You will learn via a better knowledge of the history, properties, uses, and effects of exposure of asbestos. It informs you how to reduce the associated risks so you can work more safely on-site.
UKATA Asbestos Awareness training is a legal requirement for anyone who might come across asbestos at work. It is for anyone who could work on the fabric of any premises built or altered before the year 2000. This includes management and planners who are involved in the work.
During the course you will learn the guidelines set out in Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. However, this is an awareness course only. Upon completion, it does not mean delegates are qualified to work with any forms of asbestos.
We hold all courses at one of our cooperating training centres. However, we can provide this training at your premises or on-site for larger groups. An E-Learning course is also available.
