Hire Periods

24 Hour Hire

Most of our tools and equipment can be booked on a 24 hour hire basis. This means you can collect from store any time from when we open and then return by that time the next day, for a full 24 hours. You can return earlier than 24 hours if you wish – you can even return on the same day – but the minimum 24 hour rate would still apply. We are open from 7.30am until 5pm on weekdays and from 8am until 12 noon on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. This means that it is not possible to book a 24 hour hire on Saturdays, as we are not open on Sundays. We are also not open on public holidays. You must book online or over the telephone prior to visiting the store to collect. This allows us to reserve the equipment for you and offer you the discounted hire rates as shown on our website. In-store prices are significantly higher if you have not booked online or over the telephone. We can offer a delivery and collection service for 24 hour hires, if you are unable to collect from store yourself. We cannot offer timed deliveries, but the 24 hour hire period starts from the time at which the equipment is delivered.

48 Hour Hire

For a 48 hour hire, you can collect from store at any time from when we open and then return the equipment up to 48 hours later. You must book online or over the telephone prior to visiting one of our stores to collect. This allows us to reserve the equipment for you and confirms the discounted hire rates shown on our website. In-store prices are significantly higher if you have not booked online or over the telephone. We can offer a delivery and collection service for 48 hour hires. We cannot offer timed deliveries, but the 48 hour hire period starts from the time at which the equipment is delivered.

Weekend Hire

Our weekend hire rates offer excellent value, as the charge is the same as our 48 hour hire rate, but the hire runs from Friday PM until Monday AM – giving you more time with the equipment for the same price. Weekend hires can also start from Saturday AM if you are unable to collect on Friday afternoon. For a weekend hire, you can collect the equipment Friday PM (12 noon – 5pm) or Saturday AM (8am – 12 noon) and then return the equipment Monday AM (7.30am – 12 noon). You must book online or over the telephone prior to visiting one of our stores to collect. This allows us to reserve the equipment for you and confirms the discounted hire rates shown on our website. In-store prices are significantly higher if you have not booked online or over the telephone. We can offer a delivery and collection service for weekend hires. We cannot offer timed deliveries, but you can choose whether you would like the equipment to be delivered on Friday or Saturday (subject to availability).

Weekly Hire

Our weekly hire rate covers up to any 7 day period. Some products which only have a weekly hire rate can be hired for shorter periods, but the minimum charge payable is the full weekly hire rate. For example, if you only need a scaffold tower on site for 4 days you would be charged the full weekly hire rate but you could return the tower (or have it collected) early. Please note: You must book online or over the telephone prior to visiting the store to collect. This allows us to reserve the equipment for you and offer you the discounted hire rates as shown on our website. In-store prices are significantly higher if you have not booked online or over the telephone. Delivery and collection is available for Weekly Hires.

Hire Extensions

If you need more time with the equipment, it is possible to extend your hire during the initial hire period. In order to extend a hire, you need to call our hire team during our opening hours on the day before the end of the hire and pay for the extension in full. An extension is not confirmed until full payment is made. If you have booked an initial 24 hour hire and wish to extend the hire period, you would need to call us and make payment before the end of the first calendar day of the hire. If you do not extend the hire and fail to return the equipment at the end of the agreed initial hire period, extra charges will apply. If you have booked our collection service and you fail to confirm your extension before the last day of the hire, a failed collection charge will also apply.
