How do you get professional carpet cleaning results without breaking the bank?
The answer is simple... hire a carpet cleaning machine and do it yourself!
No contractors. No huge fees. No fuss.
Simply by hiring a carpet cleaning machine, you can get professional results without paying the huge fees associated with hiring a professional service!
Advantages of Hiring a Carpet Cleaning Machine
Whilst regular vacuum cleaning can help to maintain a clean carpet, it fails to remove the deep-seated dirt, stains odours and allergens clinging to the carpet fibres, and ultimately can't maintain the look of a fresh, new carpet. A professional carpet cleaning machine invigorates the carpet - giving it a deeper and much more comprehensive clean, preventing the carpet from looking tired and worn, and injecting new life into the carpet.
Available for both industrial and domestic applications, carpet cleaners offer a more thorough clean - effectively lifting dirt and stains, removing odours and allergens, and actually prolonging the life of the carpet. Hiring a carpet cleaner also represents great value for money, as they are much cheaper than hiring a professional service, yet you can achieve great, professional results.
How to Use a Carpet Cleaner
Carpet cleaners use a combination of hot water, high pressure, cleaning solution and traditional vacuum cleaning to achieve a much deeper and effective clean.
Before using a carpet cleaner, a regular vacuum cleaner should be used on the carpet to remove any lose dirt and debris that could damage the cleaner. To use the carpet cleaner, mix hot water and cleaning solution together in the tank inside the cleaner, press the trigger on the hose and sweep the nozzle over the carpet to force the mixture into the carpet under high pressure. This lifts the dirt, stains and allergens from the carpet fibres. Repeat this process over the same patch of carpet, without pressing the trigger, and the water solution is then sucked up by the vacuum and dumped into the waste water tank inside the carpet cleaning machine.
Once this process is completed over the entire carpet, you can vacuum the carpet again to make sure all excess water is removed from the carpet. Then open the windows and allow the carpet to dry naturally, or you could use a fast-acting carpet dryer to get the job done quicker!
Carpet cleaners can also be used on upholstery to give the same deep clean to your couch and cushions that they do to your carpet.
Remember to read through the instruction manual thoroughly before using a carpet cleaner, as each model may operate slightly differently.
It is advisable not to 'scrub' the carpet with the nozzle, and not to 'over soak' one area of carpet with the water and cleaning solution mixture, but to distribute the solution over the carpet evenly.
Also take care to cover electrical sockets before using the cleaner, to avoid any water getting into them.
Following a Carpet Clean...
If the carpet is then vacuum cleaned weekly, and cleaned with a carpet cleaning machine every 12-18 months, the carpet can be maintained to the highest standard, giving the carpet a fresh look and lengthening its life, thus saving you money!
